We’re honored to share that Carolyne and Bill Edwards—the dedicated founders of the Quinn Research Center—will be recognized at Communitas 2025, hosted by The Church in Ocean Park. This special evening brings together storytellers and changemakers who reflect our commitment to preserving and uplifting community history.

Joining Carolyne and Bill on the honorary stage are journalist Nick Gerda, recipient of the Dan Rather Media Award, and activist-author Valarie Kaur, founder of the Revolutionary Love Project. Together, these honorees embody the spirit of service and storytelling that guides our work at the Quinn Research Center.

“The stories aren’t going to just appear on their own,” Carolyne says. “It takes people willing to write them down, to speak them aloud, to make sure they are remembered.”
